Nordplus Higher Education awards grants to higher education cooperation with Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and other actors in the Nordic and Baltic countries as well as the autonomous regions of the Faroe Islands, Greenland and Åland.
Grants may be awarded for networking activities, intensive courses, joint study programmes, development projects and mobility of students and academic staff. The goal is to enhance the collaboration between the actors within higher education and with working life. The dissemination of good praxis and innovative results is important. The programme supports also academic mobility and work placements of high quality.
Since 2009 Pallas has been a partner in 12 Nordplus projects.

NordTradCraft network
Partnering with the Viljandi Culture Academy of the University of Tartu, University of Uppsala, University of Gothenburg, University of Helsinki, University of South-Eastern Finland and University of South-Eastern Norway. Partner meetings have taken place in Uppsala, Tartu and Helsinki (planned for Oct 2022). As a result, an intensive week Craft Symposion was organised in Viljandi with around 60 participants (students and staff) in March 2022.
The next Craft Symposion will be organised in Sweden in spring 2023 .
Nordic-Baltic Network of Engineering
The objective of the network is the preservation of buildings in the Baltic Sea region, and its partners are Estonian, Swedish, Norwegian, Finnish and Lithuanian higher education institutions and the Estonian Open Air Museum.
