Pallas is the only higher education institution in Estonia that offers applied art education. At Pallas, studies are conducted at the first level of higher education based on applied higher education curricula.

The official language of tuition at Pallas UAS is Estonian and the standard period of study is 4 years.


Secondary education (vocational secondary education is also acceptable) is a prerequisite for applying to Pallas University of Applied Sciences.

Graduates of non-Estonian-language secondary schools must submit a state examination certificate in Estonian as a second language or a certificate of proficiency in Estonian (B1).

Students are admitted according to the ranking of the entrance exams’ results. It is possible to apply in two curricula.

PALLAS UAS OFFERS THE FOLLOWING FORMS OF STUDY:

free full-time studies
(student completes 75–100% of the curriculum in an academic year)

paid part-time studies
(student completes 50–74% of the curriculum in an academic year and pays for each semester)

paid external studies
(student completes the contractually determined extent of the curricula and pays for the ECTS credits that they have taken)

 

ACCOMMODATION

Pallas UAS has no dormitory. During entrance examinations, we recommend staying at Tartu Hostel tartuhostel.ee, Hektor Design Hostel, Hugo.stay or finding alternative accommodation.

ENTRANCE EXAMS

Admission is based on the combined results of the entrance exams. Entrance exams will be held online, while the motivation interview will take place in person at Pallas (Tähe 38b, Tartu, Estonia).

Submission of electronic applications takes place via SAIS. If you do not have an Estonian state-issued ID card, please contact our academic affairs managers. 

Applicants for the Media and Advertisement Design curriculum and Painting curriculum are required to submit a portfolio on SAIS before speciality exam.

The list of items necessary for exams can be found on SAIS next to the respective exam description. In addition, mobile phone or computer equipped with webcamera, microphone and internet connection is required.
