Restrictions and Restraint
The exhibition of Department of Textile of Pallas University of Applied Sciences
From Friday, 27th of November, is opened the exhibition of Pallas University of Applied Sciences, Department of Textile „Restrictions and Restraint“ in Pallas Gallery.
Exhibition „Restrictions and Restraint“ is the work of the students of the Textile Department. Works in the exhibition tell stories about finding and moving personal borders.
More or less visible physical borders separate rooms we inhabit, they influence the way we live and use these spaces. Personal borders are invisible but still deeply perceived. It is sometimes hard to know where this border is before one crosses it.
Set borders are not meant only for restrictions but a way to order one’s world, a way to separate our own from foreign, known from unknown, harmless from dangerous.
Participants: Maarja Kaasik, Lisette Laanoja, Arabella Lippur, Kairi Palm, Maria Pilm, Liisi Tamm, Inger Tammela, Andrea-Martha Teesaar, Maria Volk. Curator: Eva Jakovits.
