Pallas University of Applied Sciences invites everyone to think about the definition of space and notice its different facets with our exhibition “Multifaceted space” at the Tallinn Design Festival. The exhibition, which is part of the Estonian Design and Architecture Schools Showcase, presents our 2024 design graduation theses to explore the various ways of creating and using space.
“Multifaceted Space” shows the meaning and interpretations of space as it can be understood in the literal as well as in abstract sense (e.g. living space, exhibition space vs cyberspace, headspace, developmental space). The exhibition is inspired by the idea of the limitlessness of space – there is an infinite number of ways to give meaning to and create sustainable, aesthetic and environmentally friendly space in various design fields.
The exhibition unlocks the meaning of space and the possibilities of its interpretation in many different facets.
There are seven design graduation theses of the class of 2024 at the exhibition:
The creators and designers of the Pallas exhibition are the head of our textile department professor Aet Ollisaar and chief artist Madis Liplap.
As part of the XIX Tallinn Design Festival, the Estonian Design and Architecture Schools Showcase is open from September 16 to 22 in the Krulli Quarter in Tallinn. The theme of this year’s festival is “Make Room for Design”.
