Exhibition of the class of 2025 in Gallery Pallas

From June 3 until July 5, the thesis exhibition of the class of 2025 of Pallas University of Applied Sciences is open in the Gallery Pallas (Riia 11, Tartu).

This exhibition offers a unique opportunity to get a glimpse into the world of future creators. The graduation projects, displayed across all three floors of the gallery, engage viewers through both personal and societal lenses.

The exhibition features works by 59 graduates from the fields of design, arts, and conservation-restoration, summarizing their four-year academic journey.

“Our students’ graduation projects reflect a sensitive engagement with a rapidly changing society and personal experience. The works bring forth themes such as the search for identity, embodiment, mental health, the impact of social media, and sustainable design,” said Piret Viirpalu, the rector of Pallas.

She added that societal tensions – from the climate crisis and technological developments to global conflicts – have increased students’ interest in exploring humanity, sustainability, and the sense of belonging. According to her, all graduation projects are marked by an interdisciplinary approach, where personal experiences are consciously connected to broader societal and cultural contexts.

The exhibition is designed by Pille Johanson, lecturer and assistant head of the Department of Painting at Pallas, and Indrek Aavik, technical assistant and lecturer of the department.

The exhibition is supported by the Cultural Endowment of Estonia.
