Starting from the academic year 2024/2025, the curriculum name is Painting (former name: Painting and Restoration)
The curriculum of painting was founded in 1996. The Head of Department is Margus Meinart.
The aim of the Department of Painting is to provide a broad education in painting. Of particular importance is the sensitivity to change over time while remaining connected to tradition. The department emphasizes classical study and proficiency in different painting techniques.
Students will learn to design both historical and contemporary spaces, will be well-versed in the history of interior design, will be familiar with historical styles, contemporary design practices and artistic trends, the students will be able to design monumental art in urban spaces as well as dedicate themselves to free creative activity.
