Pallas presents a multifaceted space at the Tallinn Design Festival
Pallas University of Applied Sciences invites everyone to think about the definition of space and notice its different facets with our exhibition “Multifaceted space” at the Tallinn Design Festival. The exhibition, which is part of the Estonian Design and Architecture Schools Showcase, presents our 2024 design graduation theses to explore the various ways of creating and using space.
“Multifaceted Space” shows the meaning and interpretations of space as it can be understood in the literal as well as in abstract sense (e.g. living space, exhibition space vs cyberspace, headspace, developmental space). The exhibition is inspired by the idea of the limitlessness of space – there is an infinite number of ways to give meaning to and create sustainable, aesthetic and environmentally friendly space in various design fields.
The exhibition unlocks the meaning of space and the possibilities of its interpretation in many different facets.
There are seven design graduation theses of the class of 2024 at the exhibition:
- Helen Cornelia Kuklane “Creating a Visual Identity for Rõuge Municipality”, supervisors Marko Kekišev, Mart Anderson;
- Erika Lille “Website design for the Estonian Evangelical Lutheran Church St. Andrew’s Congregation of Sangaste”, supervisors Jaanus Eensalu, Laura Eiche;
- Helen-Mary Vartšun “Fashion Collection ‘Flower Child*ish’ Based on Modular Technology”, supervisor Gerda Retter;
- Ülle Järve “Experimental Form-Creating Techniques Based on Knitting Collection ‘Freedom of the Brain’”, supervisor Liisa Kanemägi;
