Textile department graduate Johanna Mauer is a candidate for the SÄSI award
Johanna Mauer, a 2023 graduate of the department of textile at Pallas University of Applied Sciences, is a candidate for the Young Designer Award SÄSI at the Estonian Design Awards competition.
The Young Designer Award SÄSI recognizes a young designer up to (and including) the age of 35. The competition aims to support the creative work of young designers and to recognize, promote, and raise public awareness regarding their works. The assessment process will include the evaluation of a product or a prototype (physical or digital), an experimental activity or a research project that is not a school/supervised project and expands the boundaries of the design field.
Until the end of September, Johanna Mauer’s brand Knitwear by Mau products can be seen and purchased at the Knit4 pop-up store opened in Telliskivi Creative City. Knit4 is a creative partnership of four knitting brands, and the knitwear designer represented in the store, Merily Mikiver, is also a graduate of the department of textile.
