Gallery Noorus is a Pallas University of Applied Sciences’ showcase venue that organizes, curates and conducts exhibitions as well as cultural and educational events. The gallery aims to popularize contemporary art in Tartu and Estonia through the introduction of the creative, intellectual and aesthetic activity of students, lecturers, alumni and partners of the Pallas University of Applied Sciences.
Annually each of the 7 departments of Pallas apply for gallery space and professionally exhibit their works in themed exhibitions. The gallery also shows the diploma works of each year’s graduates during the month of June. Gallery Noorus hosts more than 15 exhibitions a year and available time slots are filled through a public call. International artists who have shown their works in Gallery Noorus include Martin Parr, Gustavo Sagorsky.
Gallery Noorus is located on Riiamäe, in the centre of Tartu, where the Noorus (youth in English) store was located during the Soviet times. The largest exhibition space (220m²) on the main floor is open and full of light with large windows that face the main thoroughfare in Tartu. Additionally, projects are exhibited in the basement and on the second floor. The gallery’s display windows can also be considered as a separate exhibition area. The gallery space is free of charge for both the exhibitors as well as the visitors.
Galeriis Noorus on võimalik korraldada näitusi nii I korruse suures ruumis kui ka keldriruumides. Täpsem info ruumide kohta vt allpool. Lisainfo galerii Nooruse galeristilt.
Enne näitusetaotluse esitamist ning näituse/ürituse toimumist palume tutvuda Kõrgema Kunstikooli Pallas galerii kasutamise eeskirjaga.
